PhD position in ATLAS physics

Job Summary

The High Energy Physics Institute in Barcelona (IFAE-Barcelona) announces the opening of a predoctoral position to participate in its hadron collider experimental program using the ATLAS detector at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider (LHC).

Responsibilities

• Participate in physics analysis using full Run 2 and Run 3 datasets.
• Take a leading role in the development of analyses for the ATLAS experiment.
• Contribute to the upgrade activities of the ATLAS detector for the High‑Luminosity LHC period.
• Collaborate with the IFAE‑ATLAS group on detector calibration and maintenance of the Tile Calorimeter and Topological Trigger system.

Qualifications

• Excellent CV with strong academic background.
• Demonstrable proficiency in English.
• Pro‑active attitude and good communication skills.
