PhD position in Biotechnology and Biochemistry (Microbiome and the antibiotic resistance)

This is a full-time, on-site PhD position in Biotechnology and Biochemistry, with a focus on the microbiome and antibiotic resistance, based at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur in Bahawalpur. The PhD candidate will design and conduct laboratory experiments related to microbial communities, host–microbe interactions, and mechanisms of antibiotic resistance using molecular biology, microbiology, and biochemical techniques. Daily tasks include planning and executing experiments, maintaining accurate laboratory records, analyzing data using appropriate statistical and bioinformatic methods, and ensuring compliance with laboratory safety and ethical standards. The role also involves reviewing scientific literature, contributing to study design, preparing manuscripts and conference abstracts, and presenting research findings in seminars and scientific meetings.
