This role offers a primarily outpatient phlebotomy opportunity with some inpatient work for those who are skilled and comfortable in that setting. You will perform blood draws on patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric, while delivering accurate, safe, and compassionate care in a fast-paced hospital and laboratory environment.
Responsibilities
+ Perform venipuncture and other blood collection procedures on patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, in both outpatient and, when qualified, inpatient settings.
+ Collect blood specimens following established protocols to ensure patient safety, specimen integrity, and accurate laboratory results.
+ Label, handle, and process blood samples according to laboratory standards and procedures.
+ Verify patient identity and obtain required patient information prior to specimen collection, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
