Job Description
The Phlebotomist II is responsible for conducting blood draws and labeling specimens accurately. The role involves processing samples, maintaining records, and updating patient information while ensuring that specimens are collected and stored according to established procedures.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct blood draws and label specimens accurately.
+ Centrifuge specimens and maintain data records.
+ Update patient information and ensure specimens match laboratory requisition forms.
+ Explain the venipuncture and specimen collection process clearly and courteously.
+ Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.
+ Verify test requisitions or computer labels for accuracy.
+ Package specimens for transport and store them at the required temperature.
