Responsibilities
+ Perform venipuncture and blood draws using straight needles and butterfly needles with a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
+ Collect and store blood, urine, fecal, and other specimens in accordance with established procedures and test requirements.
+ Clearly and courteously explain venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures to patients to ensure comfort and understanding.
+ Label specimen tubes accurately and match all laboratory requisition forms to the correct specimens.
+ Centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by the specific test order and protocol.
