Phlebotomist/Health Care Assistant

We are looking to recruit a phlebotomist/healthcare assistant to job share and to join our well established, friendly and very busy practice.

The post involves taking blood from patients as requested. Ideally you will have experience of the clinical environment and the delivery of hands‑on care. You must have good people, communication and IT skills. The ability to work as part of the bigger team whilst using your own initiative is essential. If successful, you will find the job interesting as well as challenging at times. The successful candidate will be supported by the Senior Lead Nurse and other members of the nursing team. Other duties include:

• Blood Pressure
• 24hr Blood Pressure
• ECGs
• Weight Management
• Mental Health Screening
• Baby Checks (8 week checks)
• Vaccinations including Flu/Shingles/Pneumococcal
• Dressings
• Dopplers

The post is for 18 hours per week.
