Summary This position is part of the Office of Science - Headquarters, Department of Energy. As a Physical Scientist/Mathematican, deliver the most sophisticated AI and mathematical capabilities for scientific applications in partnership with disciplinary science; create first-of-a-kind AI, advanced computing, and networking capabilities for the Nation; and develop future generations of computing hardware and software tools for science and engineering. Responsibilities As a Physical Scientist/Mathematician, you will: Defines and executes the strategic vision for next-generation artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing (HPC), and quantum information science (QIS) research programs, with a focus on AI and applied mathematics research.
