Physician - Fee Basis (Surgical Fellow/Chief Resident)

Summary The Fee Basis Physician will provide intermittent surgical care to support the clinical operations of the Medical Center at VA Boston Healthcare System. This is a Fee Basis position and payment will be made on a fee for service basis. There is an aggregate limit of $400,000. This means you cannot make over $400,000 in a calendar year, and this is inclusive of all combined appointments. Responsibilities The Fee Basis Physician Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: -Delivering comprehensive perioperative and operative care to Veteran patients. -Assisting or performing general surgical procedures as authorized by approved privileges. -Participating in surgical consultations, inpatient services, outpatient follow-up, and procedural care. -Ensuring timely and accurate documentation in CPRS/VISTA. -Complying with all VHA, Joint Commission, and federal standards of care. -Maintaining professional conduct consistent with VA values and medical staff standards.
