We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join our team. A fellowship in Gastroenterology is required for this position. The ideal candidate will have experience in various gastroenterology procedures. Patient encounters per shift will average 16. Candidates must be proficient in upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeders. Proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP is preferred. Experience with PEG insertion is required. Candidates must be skilled in esophageal dilatation, manometry interpretation, and small bowel biopsy. Lower GI endoscopy, including colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyps, is required. Experience with endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and liver biopsy is preferred. Candidates should be familiar with the insertion and management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tubes. The facility operates at a trauma level of 3.
