Physician - Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine

Summary The Section of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine within the VA New Jersey Health Care System (VANJHCS) is seeking a physician with specialized training and expertise in adult Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine to provide ambulatory clinical services at the East Orange campus. The selected physician will join a high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional care to our nation's Veterans. Responsibilities Provide outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine services, including evaluation and longitudinal management of patients with a broad range of pulmonary and sleep disorders. Diagnose, treat, and manage patients with sleep-disordered breathing and coexisting sleep disorders such as narcolepsy/idiopathic hypersomnia, restless legs syndrome, or chronic insomnia. Identify and manage sleep-related hypoxemia and initiate appropriate interventions. Order, interpret, and integrate diagnostic sleep testing and relevant laboratory evaluations.
