Responsibilities Interventional Cardiologist is assigned to the VA St. Louis MO Health Care System, Medical Service, provide comprehensive, efficient, compassionate, high quality healthcare to all patients, functioning as a member of the inter-disciplinary team providing clinical care to the patients at VAMC St Louis in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The responsibilities include treating a range of heart and vascular conditions through cardiac catheterization. The interventional cardiologist may perform a range of procedures including balloon angioplasty, stent insertion, heart valve repair and pacemaker and defibrillator insertion.
