Dermatology Team Member

Major Duties:

• Participates and manages a diverse Dermatology Team that provides comprehensive care to include diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and education of patients with Dermatologic conditions in inpatient/outpatient settings.
• Documents patient encounters and coding of visits accurately and timely.
• Evaluates, triages, and prioritizes Dermatology consult requests to ensure timely care for patients. Performs excisional or diagnostic skin biopsies and minor skin surgeries.
• Reviews images from store and forward program to make treatment recommendations or determine urgency of face-to-face evaluations.
• Supervises providers in the dermatology section, including performance reviews and evaluations; ensuring providers are informed of and adherent to VA policies and procedures.
