Plant Fitter

We are seeking an experienced Plant Fitter to join a well-established plant hire and machinery services business known for supplying high-quality equipment across the region. Operating from a busy depot in Whickham, this role offers a balance of workshop-based repairs and mobile call-outs to customer sites. You'll be part of a skilled engineering team supporting a modern fleet of heavy plant and construction machinery. A fully equipped company vehicle is provided for mobile duties.

Role Overview

Carry out servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on a wide range of heavy plant equipment
Work both in the workshop and on customer sites as required
Respond to breakdowns and perform on-site repairs using a company van
Conduct routine maintenance to manufacturer standards
Complete job cards, service reports, and parts requisitions accurately
Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently
Represent the business professionally during customer visits
