Plant Maintenance Technician-1st shift 5:00am-1:30pm

JOB SUMMARY:
Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, tools, equipment, furnishing, fixtures, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems using journeyman level skills in all the various crafts required to complete the essential functions of the job.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:
Under periodic supervision and review, works using considerable initiative and ingenuity by performing the following tasks. Other work related duties may be assigned as necessitated by Company priorities.
Visually inspects and tests machinery, tools and equipment to assure proper working condition.
Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with appropriate personnel to diagnose problem or repair machine.
Dismantles defective machines, tools and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
