Plant Operating Engineer (Winnipeg)

Position Overview

Under the general direction of the Chief Power Engineer and Maintenance Manager and in accordance with the requirements of the Provincial Licensing Standard, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation, maintenance and repair of high pressure boilers, refrigeration compressors, air compressors, diesel engines and generators, electric motors, pumps, turbines and all related equipment necessary to supply and deliver steam, chilled water, compressed air, emergency power, and fire main loop high pressure water to meet the requirements of the centre. Minimum of three years’ experience as an Engineer in charge of a shift in a first-class plant, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
