THIS IS AN ADVANCED RECRUITMENT The primary purpose of this position is: The primary purpose of the position is to perform law enforcement work to maintain law and order, preserve the peace, protect life and civil rights, detect and investigate crimes, arrest or apprehend violators, and perform patrols within the assigned jurisdictions. Responsibilities Performs the full spectrum of police officer duties within the assigned jurisdictions: Incumbent has full powers of apprehension and detention, which entails carrying a firearm, mirandizing suspects, preserving evidence and testifying in court as it pertains to enforcing regulations within assigned jurisdiction.
