Postdoctoral Fellow: Archaeological Geochemistry & Dating

The University of Oslo is offering a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in archaeological geochemistry focused on the Ecological Archaeologies of the Afrotropics project. Candidates will develop research on landscape transformation using dated sediment cores while collaborating with international labs.

Successful candidates must have a PhD specific to archaeological geochemistry and strong English communication skills. The position is full-time for four years, starting October–December 2026, offering a competitive salary package.
