*AVAILABLE POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN VAGINAL MICROBIOME GROUP AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND, SCHOOL OF MEDICINE, INSTITUTE FOR GENOME SCIENCES* An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Johanna Holm, PhD, at the Institute for Genome Sciences, University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Holm’s laboratory is focused on translating the vaginal microbiome to clinical applications for the improvement of women’s health outcomes. The laboratory is specifically interested in improving diagnosis of bacterial vaginosis and developing novel treatments to reduce recurrence using high-throughput, multi-omic sequencing data and comparative genomics. The lab aims to define a mechanistic understanding of the vaginal microbiome in relation to bacterial vaginosis.
