Position Summary
The Chan Lab at Michigan State University is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to work on evolutionary genomics of Southeast Asian reptiles. The lab focuses on specimen-based biodiversity research, with an emphasis on understanding the drivers of cryptic biodiversity through the integration of genomic, morphological, and ecological data.

The primary responsibilities of the postdoctoral scholar will be to generate chromosome-level reference genomes and to investigate patterns of structural variation, sex chromosome evolution, and macroevolutionary diversification. The position will involve both laboratory and bioinformatic work, as well as opportunities for field-based sample collection in Southeast Asia.
