Overview
Location: Oxted Delivery Office, RH8 9EH
Job type: Permanent contract
Salary: £13.68 per hour (paid monthly, overtime available)
Working hours: 30 hours per week, 5 days in 7 (Mon‑Sun 09:00‑18:00)
Responsibilities
- Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
- Deliver post by van and on foot in the local area
- Build relationships with customers
- Work outdoors in all weathers
- Deliver more than mail – examine results, birthday cards, business orders, and other important items
Qualifications
- Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to current name and address)
- Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment
- Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20 000+ steps), climbing stairs/hills, and lifting/carrying 10 kg+ mailbags
