Job Purpose:
To lead and execute the design and engineering of marine water intake and outfall systems for desalination plants,, ensuring compliance with environmental, hydraulic, and structural standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conceptual & Detailed Design Develop conceptual layouts and detailed designs for seawater intake and outfall systems (including pipelines, headworks, diffusers, screens, and pump houses).Perform hydraulic design and modelling (steady and unsteady flow, wave-current interaction, sediment transport, etc.).Select appropriate intake and diffuser configurations to ensure adequate dilution and minimize environmental impact Engineering Calculations & Analysis Carry out hydrodynamic, structural, and geotechnical analyses for pipelines and offshore structures.Prepare design calculations, technical reports, and design basis documents.Use relevant design codes and standards (API, BS, DNV, ASCE, etc.). ...
