Introduction

The ultimate goal of the Transport planning team is to deliver better experiences for passengers, residents and businesses, better connectivity both inward and outward to our neighbours, region and nations and ultimately a better place to live. Our goal is to ensure transport is a focus for all relevant plans from a wide range of council departments, for example the Local Plan, Climate Change mitigation plan, Public Health, Care leavers plan, and so on. You will need to build alliances and relationships across the whole council, and with the many external agencies we work with.
