Job Summary

This role is for 2 Principal Mechanical Engineers to support BAE Systems on a next Radar Programme. Based out of their sites in Cowes or Great Baddow.

Compensation and Working Hours

£70 per hour Umbrella - inside IR35.

4 days onsite initially to start, 3 days a week onsite when embedded.

Contract Length

6 month contract - likely extension.

Job Overview

The Principal Mechanical Engineer is a key role that leads the mechanical engineering aspects of the development of new radar technologies. Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager, this role must have an expert general mechanical knowledge with experience in the design, build, integration and test of complex mechanical systems.

The holder will themselves be a subject matter expert in at least one area of Mechanical Engineering, for example, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Finite Element Analysis, Structures or Thermal Systems. They may al...
