Purpose of the Role

The Lead Structural Designer is responsible for leading the offshore drafting team in the development and delivery of detailing solutions that meet project, client, and regulatory requirements. The role provides technical leadership, supervision, and mentoring to the drafting team, ensuring designs are safe, efficient, and compliant with industry codes and company standards. In addition to preparing and reviewing, the Principal Structural Designer coordinates with multidisciplinary teams, manages technical interfaces, and supports Lead Engineers in achieving successful outcomes. The position plays a key role in resource planning, resolving technical challenges, and driving continuous improvement in engineering practices, contributing to Worley’s commitment to excellence and innovation.
