Principal Substation Engineer

Job Description
My client is looking a substation engineer that is responsible managing all assigned substation projects from early-stage development through construction and commissioning, this role partners closely with the Early-Stage Project Manager and Development Group to define engineering scope and requirements. The position provides technical oversight, due diligence, and training for external Engineers of Record (EORs), ensuring full compliance with interconnection agreements, project specifications, site-specific requirements, and industry standards such as IEEE, NESC, and ASCE. It involves sourcing and managing engineering consultants through the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC), including developing scopes of work, securing bids, and awarding contracts, while also coordinating with stakeholders to secure sites, permits, and required data for successful project execution.
