Principal/Senior HV Cable Design Engineer - Energy | Expression of Interest

Responsibilities

The role is to work as part of the Cable team on electrical substation design, major renewables, HVDC interconnectors, offshore grids, FEED design, and related projects. You will work closely with other disciplines and support or lead design activities.

Qualifications

• Pro‑active individual with knowledge of the electricity transmission and distribution industry.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, and professional registration as a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council and ICE preferred.
• Experience as a civil substation engineer with awareness of other typical HV civil engineering projects.
• Experience in design (concept, FEED, and detail) of transmission and distribution systems for utility companies based on international standards.
• Ability to carry out interdisciplinary coordination and resolve design issues.
