Salary

£35,875 per annum for a 39 hour week (includes 20% unsocial hours). Training is 37 hours a week; salary adjusts accordingly.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Protect the public by maintaining order and security within the prison.
• Serve as a peacekeeper, counsellor or teacher to support prisoners' rehabilitation.
• Build constructive, positive relationships with prisoners.
• Work within a scheduled shift pattern - evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Act as part of a single team to keep the prison safe for staff and prisoners.
