Private Funds Attorney

A leading AmLaw firm is seeking a talented associate with 3+ years of experience to join its Private Funds Practice Group. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a sophisticated, nationally recognized team advising top-tier clients across the private funds ecosystem. This position will be based out of New York City in a hybrid structure.

The Opportunity

This practice represents both general partners (GPs) and limited partners (LPs) across a broad range of fund strategies. The team provides comprehensive counsel aligned with the evolving dynamics of the private funds industry.

As part of this group, you'll work on complex, high-impact matters including:

• Fund formation and sponsor structuring
• Negotiating with institutional investors (e.g., pension plans, endowments, funds-of-funds)
• Secondary transactions (buy- and sell-side LP stakes)
• GP-led restructurings and liquidity solutions
