The Opportunity:
The Procurement Technician provides support to our sourcing and procurement function by working directly with procurement team members and other departments with respect to processing, verifying and managing purchase orders, year-end processes (such as closing out purchase orders). This position is responsible for monitors compliance with competitive bidding law, current regulations and the City‘s procurement policy and procedures.
Responsibilities Includes:
• Responsible for processing requisitions including creating purchase orders in our financial system
• Review and verify all purchase orders ensuring accuracy and alignment on price, quantity, contract terms and conditions, and amend as required with the requisitioner
• Responsible for leading the year-end process including closing purchase orders, confirming budgets, and amending purchase orders
