The Product Owner is responsible for managing the organization’s tooling ecosystem as a product. This includes owning the end-to-end lifecycle of platforms—from capability definition and onboarding to governance, versioning, deprecation, and cost management.
The Product Owner defines how the tooling enables teams to build, run, monitor, and maintain data pipelines at scale.
Acting as the Product Owner for the internal data engineering platform, this role ensures that the toolchain is:
- Standardized across the organization
- Self-service and user-friendly
- Observable and measurable
- Aligned with the enterprise data strategy
