SUMMARY:

The Production Control Intern will work under the direction of the Sr. Director Manufacturing on production planning and production control for manufactured products. Will work cross-functionally with all areas including the Supply Chain, Demand Management, Manufacturing, Logistics & Distribution and Finance teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

General and Task Management

  • Study and map out the relationship amongst components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies both within an ERP environment to eventually translate a pegging tree relationship to a production planning environment
  • Evaluate exiting process to match raw materials and production capacity to optimally meet demand and suggest improvement opportunities
  • Assist in scheduling production orders in accordance with the demand outlook from the SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning...
