Production engineer

Purpose of Role: Implement strategies to improve safety, productivity, quality and cost consistent with the business plan. Key Responsibilities Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to zero harm behaviours in support of cultivating a world‑class safety culture. Maintain the safety of all systems and processes in the Isando plant and implement world‑class safety practices guided by the Health and Safety department and senior management. Compliance: Ensure the machine shop complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85: 1993). Maintain the integrity of the ISO 9001:2008 quality assurance system within the machine shop, including product traceability. Technical: Ensure daily alignment between shop floor activity, MES transactions, and SAP PP/MM postings.
