Production Operations Contractor

Job Title

Summary: Training hours are 8am-4pm (Monday - Friday for 2 months). Shift is 2:00pm - 10pm (Monday - Friday with some weekend OT if needed). Worker type is Agency Temp. Worker time type is Full Time. Business group is Freight Services.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory and control metrics in a 24/7 shop environment.
• Pull material from warehouse for shop use and ensure proper issuance.
• Manage stockouts and obtain updated estimated times of arrival for parts.
• Perform daily cycle counts to correct inventory inconsistencies.
• Forecast material needs for inbound and in-shop locomotives.
• Conduct quality control on inbound and outbound shipments.
• Arrange LTL and Expedite shipments using the Ryder portal.
• Use software programs to order, receive, ship, and track materials.
• Operate forklifts and perform daily shift inspections.
