Program Analyst

Summary This position is located in the Bureau of Budget and Planning, Office of Planning, Office of Planning and Performance. The Bureau carries out the principle responsibilities of preparing and submitting the Department's budget requests and managing the Department's operational resource requirements. Responsibilities Prepare and present policy recommendations for senior officials for use in management policy formulation and assist in planning and implementing new policies, initiatives, regulations, or legislation. Convene working groups, often consisting of multiple bureaus, working to understand and incorporate equities and concerns across the board, and then work with the group to draft new policies and regulations. Analyze policy options and develop alternatives and strategies that align with the Departmental mission to achieve management policy goals.
