Background

International Medical Corps (IMC) is a global humanitarian organization founded in 1984, dedicated to delivering emergency medical services, strengthening health systems, and building local capacity in disaster-affected areas. With operations in more than 30 countries, IMC provides lifesaving healthcare, nutrition, water and sanitation, mental health support, and prevention from violence against women and children.

In the Philippines, IMC has supported communities affected by natural disasters such as typhoons, earthquakes, and floods.Its interventions have included emergency medical care, distribution of hygiene kits and non-food items, and rehabilitation of damaged health facilities. IMC’s work emphasizes rapid response, resilience building, and close collaboration with local government units (LGUs) to ensure aid reaches those most in need.
