Program Officer, Educational Services and Events

Overview

Reporting to the Manager, Educational Services and Events, the Program Officer acts as a senior liaison with the educational community pertaining to pedagogical programs related to Canada’s Parliament. The incumbent plans, develops, implements, coordinates and evaluates educational initiatives and programs, including special events, educational resources, legislated cultural programs and the Teachers Institute on Canadian Parliamentary Democracy, to support Parliament and parliamentarians in increasing the public’s awareness and appreciation for parliamentary democracy in Canada.

The incumbent performs the following duties:

• Plans, coordinates, and delivers educational programs, events, legislated cultural programs and the Teachers Institute by supporting recruitment activities, liaising with partners, coordinating event logistics, developing program materials and enhancing overall participant experience.
