Programme Officer, Conservation Areas

Purpose of Job

A Programme Officer's position with the main responsibility to jointly develop and implement conservation strategies and action plans, support and coordinate, and monitor and evaluate programmes and projects relating to Conservation Areas in Sarawak, as specified in the Sarawa Conservation Programme Strategy. The job also entails supporting the Protected Areas National Team in fundraising activities and capacity‑building programmes for work relevant to WWF-Malaysia's thematic and landscape programmes and projects.

The Programme Officer has a direct reporting line to the Senior Programme Officer, Conservation Areas for the Sarawak Conservation Programme. The Officer shall keep in view any coordination and supporting needs with other relevant Managers and/or Team Leaders in the Sarawak Programme and the National Team in key activities such as strategic and decision making in projects and programmes, and donor relations.
