Construction Project Director – Duties & Responsibilities 1. Project Leadership & Strategic Planning Define overall project strategy, goals, and execution plans. Lead project teams: project managers, engineers, QS, safety managers, site teams, consultants. Make high-level decisions on project scope, resources, and timelines.
2. Budgeting & Financial Control Develop, approve, and manage project budgets (CAPEX and OPEX). Oversee cost control, cash flow, and financial reporting. Approve major purchases, contracts, and variations (VOs).
3. Contract & Stakeholder Management Ensure compliance with contractual obligations (client, contractors, suppliers). Negotiate key contracts and resolve contractual disputes or claims. Maintain strong relationships with clients, government authorities, consultants, and internal executives.
