Project Manager – Microscopy (MIC operations)

Position: 80‑100 % workload, fixed‑term for two years, Bern, Switzerland.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance the MIC instrument inventory (openiris.io, MIC website).
  • Develop and structure a comprehensive instrument application catalogue.
  • Strengthen MIC's digital presence (website, social media, visibility initiatives).
  • Analyze and optimise user access workflows, including new access models (e.g., project‑based).
  • Document and standardise onboarding procedures across instrument locations.
  • Ensure clear and consistent communication of access policies for internal and external users.
  • Monitor and analyse instrument usage data to improve utilisation and efficiency.
  • Identify training needs and support effective instrument use.
  • Support institutes with reporting, invoicing practices, and budget planning related to instruments.
