YOU MUST BE PERMANET IN THE CIVIL SERVICE SUPERVISOR I (SOCIAL WORK) TITLE OR BE PERMANENT IN A COMPARABLE TITLE ELIGIBLE FOR 6.1.9 TITLE CHANGE. IF YOU ARE HIRED PROVISIONALLY IN THIS TITLE, YOU MUST TAKE AND PASS THE CIVIL SERVICE EXAM WHEN IT BECOMES AVAILABLE TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT.
HRA Domestic Violence Services (DVS) is the primary mechanism through which the City of New York provides emergency shelter and social services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. DVS oversees the largest network of domestic violence services in the country. These NYS mandated shelter and community-based programs provide prevention and intervention services, crisis counseling, advocacy, and legal services to help families and individuals impacted by domestic violence.
