Summary The Primary Purpose of the Position is: To perform a variety of clerical duties in support of the Prosthetic and Sensory Aids Section determining eligibility, preparing requisitions and purchasing items. The Organizational Location of the Position is: Prosthetic and Sensory Aids Service (PSAS), PSAS Administration Section, at all campuses in the VA North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS) Dallas, TX. Responsibilities Duties to include but not limited to the following: Administrative Support Renders decisions on client eligibility for prosthetic devices and reviews request for prosthetic devices from a physician. Issues items from Prosthetic Stock and posts to the veteran's Prosthetic Record (2319) by using the Suspense record in the VistA system. Counsels patients and provides instructions to patients in the use of prosthetic devices Schedules appointments for patents requiring services from the Prosthetic/Orthotic lab.
