Psychologist

Job Summary

The psychologist is responsible for maximizing employee performance and wellbeing through the provision of support to operational training and advice to management in the areas of occupational psychology, personnel selection, psychological fitness for high‑risk roles, and suitability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupationally mandated psychological health evaluations, including periodic psychological screening, of employees in high‑risk jobs/roles.
• Conduct competency‑based psychological evaluations of candidates for specialized jobs/roles.
• Participate in the development of psychological evaluation guidelines and procedures.
• Refer employees to appropriate support resources (e.g., EAP) or provide therapy sessions to employees in urgent/crisis situations as necessary.
• Provide advice to management and other health care professionals (e.g., occupational health nurses and physicians) as required.
