JOB SUMMARY: Behavioral Health Specialist must demonstrate the ability to develop
an open, collaborative relationship with patients. The therapist must be proficient in
the performance of the 12 Core Functions of Counseling and is required to be an
active participant in the programs Continuous Quality Improvement efforts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Therapist will primarily work mental health groups and carry a small case load as needed.

Carries a client caseload as assigned. Responsible for determining the client & participant's
strengths/weaknesses and needs to assist clients in developing a treatment plan
within 7 days of admission.
Monitors and documents assigned clients progress toward the treatment plan at
least every 120 days using the treatment plan review and presenting it to the
