Responsibilities Look after the full buying process for spare parts, stores, lubricants, and services for assigned tanker ships (Crude, Product, Chemical, or LPG) Find, assess, and negotiate with approved marine suppliers around the world to get good prices and on-time delivery Check and process purchase requests from ships, making sure the technical details and maker references are correct Get competitive quotes, compare them, and prepare purchase orders in line with company buying rules Work closely with
Technical Superintendents
and ship crew to confirm specifications and how urgent the items are needed Arrange with logistics partners to ship items to ports worldwide on time, taking into account the tanker's sailing routes Track delivery progress and follow up on pending orders to avoid any downtime for the ship Keep the supplier list, price records, and purchase data up to date in buying systems such as
