Summary The employee will serve as a Purchasing Agent at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison, WI. This position is located in the Prosthetic and Sensory Aids Service. Responsibilities ***THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION*** Duties include, but may not be limited to the following: Manages the collection of data to be used in numerous reports to ensure adequate resource funding and compliance. Researches the use of different solicitation methods, ordering or reporting procedures and purchasing methods to distinguish between different purchasing strategies. Documents the services required per the contractual agreement and monitors, tracks and trends contractor performance. Completes transaction on the patient's medical record to ensure documentation of exactly what was purchased and issued.
