The Pathology Quality Assurance Lead is a senior (B7) specialist role within the Pathology Quality & Compliance function, providing independent, second-line assurance that operational quality across all Pathology services is effectively identified, controlled, and escalated. 

This provides independent quality assurance across Pathology and therefore appropriately reports into the Pathology Quality & Compliance function, with overall accountability retained by the Associate Director of Pathology.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will lead on monitoring, assurance, and compliance oversight of statutory, regulatory, and Trust quality requirements across all Pathology disciplines, including laboratory, mortuary, POCT, and supporting environments.
