Position Responsibilities: Using the CMM to measure product and conduct visual inspection for issuing of first-offs, SPC tracking and Capability studies. Analyse the CMM results, inform relevant personnel on any discrepancies, raise and follow-up on containments (non-conformities), when required. Using measuring instruments (verniers, micrometers, etc) to conduct manual measuring of significant characteristics. Support with conduct of Routine testing requirements and Product audits.

Position Requirements: Minimum essential tertiary qualification: N6 in Quality or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Quality specific training in Core Tools (eg SPC) and CSR’s would be advantageous. Minimum 3 years experience in Machine Shop and at least 2 years work experience in a manufacturing plant would be advantageous. Should have thorough knowledge of the Machine Shop and IATF processes.
