University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a Casual Quality Nurse Coordinator for the Heart and Vascular Institute at Children's.

Purpose:
Support multidisciplinary quality improvement functions organizationally to achieve the highest quality and best possible outcomes for the patient and to support the various hospital functions related to development, implementation and evaluation of performance improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

+ Reviews and extracts patient information from the medical recordDemonstrates innovation and leads change through process flow/analysisDemonstrates expertise in PI/CQI and with methods such as lean, Toyota and or six sigmaInterprets and analyzes data and identifies areas for improvement Leads core measure and other processes teams Uses measurement and analytics skills to identify areas for improvementExhibits knowledge of the fiscal implications of quality outcomes Improves processes
