Responsibilities
- Take off all quantities from the received drawings and specifications, including items not mentioned in the BOQ or not shown clearly in the drawings.
- Check and verify BOQ items regarding quantity and specifications required, and report to the Sr Estimator / Estimation Manager accordingly.
- Write down and report all discrepancies found in the tender document, especially those between drawings, specifications and the BOQ.
- Prepare shop drawings as required, including layout for tenders.
- Check and verify project built‑up area.
- Study and verify received quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, and fill unit rates in cost comparison sheets.
- Prepare cost comparisons for different items, whether for supply of materials or services to be provided by subcontractors.
- Assist in writing and filling the BOQ to be submitted for the Consultant / Client.
