Quantity surveyor

To manage and implement all aspects of Quantity Surveying and Estimating, as per industry norms and standards, at a project and programme level for Transnet Port Terminals and other Operating Divisions.

Position Outputs

Preparation of feasibility studies in accordance with the guidelines set out in the Project Lifecycle Process.

Undertake regular interaction with stakeholders and others to ensure a professional service is delivered and that queries are timeously and satisfactorily resolved Preparation of bills of quantities in accordance with the Standard System of Measurement, SANS 1200 and other systems of measuring Use of the latest version of software approved by Transnet for the compilation of bills of quantities and estimates. Conduct commercial evaluation of tenders / contracts as and when required. Attend all site meetings and other relevant meetings.
